January 21st-Introduction to The Wise Woman Tradition

$45.00

This workshop will provide a general overview of the Wise Woman Tradition of herbal medicine, and how it differs from other traditions. We will enjoy delicious herbal infusions while learning how to to safely begin using common wild plants (weeds) to maintain vitality and wellbeing for yourself and others. We will be touching on botany, plant identification, and medicine making, with a focus on understanding the empowered, D.I.Y philosophy/ spirit of the tradition and on daily preventative wellness practices. Each person will make a tincture to take home,  gain practical tools you can implement immediately, and recieve a list of resources for continuing to grow your relationship to the world of medicinal plants.

We consider nourishing self care to be the foundation of all esoteric study. The Wise Woman Tradition focuses on preventative health through nourishing and toning herbs. Although these plants have well documented beneficial effects on the physical body, they in fact work on multiple levels of our being at once prepare the body to be able to perceive and hold increasingly subtle vibrations of altered states of consciousness achieved through spiritual practice.

Introduction to the Wise Woman tradition is a co-ed workshop. We all have a masculine side and a feminine side and it is important to continuously cultivate both. In the words of Susun S. Weed, my teacher “Men in the Wise Woman Tradition find their Wise Woman within and become her”

Class meets from 6:30pm-9:30 pm. Address to be sent in confirmation email.
